At first glance this is just a very dirty condenser, the coil is caked with dirt and dog hair. While cleaning it and being so close to it, feeling the air flow pattern reveal another problem.

The air flow is not blown out from the top of the condenser. The air is being blown sideway to the top 1/3 of the condenser. This problem is consistent with the top 1/3 of the coil isn’t caked with dog hair, and after cleaning the Infrared image shows the top 1/3 coil is hotter because the heat expelled by the lower 2/3 is blown into the top 1/3 of the coil.

The fan motor’s part number label looks original. So is this defect by design? This condenser brand is considered low-end compare to the typical equipment we recommend. Regardless, we will have to come back to fix it.

A project for replacing an old HVAC system in a $2M+ home was initially quoted in December last year. The client reached out again in February after comparing multiple options and ultimately decided to proceed with our services. They discovered us through social media, after reviewing online feedback and meeting in person, chose us for the job.

The installation presented significant challenges, as the attic had a clearance of only 26 inches. Our technicians had to alternate between working in a crouched and kneeling position throughout the process. Despite these difficulties, we upheld our commitment to superior craftsmanship, high standards, and exceptional quality.

Upon completion, the client was highly satisfied with the results and left us excellent feedback.
