Last Wednesday I completed a memorial hike I will never forget with Luke5Adventures. Two years after Scott passed away from a cardiac arrest during a three-generation family hike at Scout Lookout in Zion National Park, I had the honor of returning there with his wife Yesenia, their daughters Taylor and Brooke, and their family and friends.
Yesenia rode in a Rosie alongside Brooke, who has Angelman Syndrome, as we made our way back to Scout Lookout to honor and celebrate Scott’s life on the 2-year anniversary of his passing away. It was such a sacred day filled with tears, laughter, memories, smiles, and so much love. Even in a place connected to deep loss, there was also peace and comfort. I feel incredibly honored to have been part of such a meaningful day with this amazing family and the special connection I made with Brooke (who now has a Hike and Wendy button her iPad!). 💗
