SPOTTED: Bald Eagles hanging out near the lake at Miami Whitewater Forest yesterday!

Interpreter Jack Fogle was able to capture this image through a spotting scope. Bald eagle populations in Ohio are on the rise. This past spring, Ohio Department of Natural Resources recorded 806 bald eagle nests in Ohio, up from 707 in 2020. Bald eagles like Ohio's clean waters and abundant fish. This is quite a sight to see considering there were only four nests in all of Ohio in 1979!
