On the ground in Georgia—Luther J. Price Middle School in Atlanta needed several office spaces, hallways, and their gym refreshed before students returned, all while the building was full of staff running end of summer meetings.

We worked the schedule around them instead of asking them to work around us. Crews moved space to space based on which rooms were free that day, kept the work contained so it didn’t disrupt meetings in session.

Coordinating around an active school calendar takes a lot of planning. Our ability to do so efficiently is one our biggest points of pride. Thank you to Atlanta Public Schools for trusting our team.

Labor Day is a good reminder of what actually goes into the work we do every day. Behind every finished project is a crew that shows up consistently, adapts to each site’s schedule, and takes pride in getting the details right, even on the parts of a job most people will never notice. That kind of commitment is what allows us to deliver for our clients across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, and the Carolinas, and it’s worth recognizing today. We’re still thinking about a few things from the The Pittsburgh Paints Company event in Orlando last week. The product sessions stuck with us more than we expected. The presentations covered the real differences in how a coating performs, and we learned a lot about the company philosophy. Most of all, we appreciated the hospitality.

Someone asked recently how our crews were still moving on a job when the heat index hit 104. Here’s actually how that works—

1. We start at 5am, and finish for the day by early afternoon
2. Striping crews work nights in peak summer because asphalt holds heat long after the air cools off
3. Crews take water and shade breaks whenever needed
4. Crews rotate so nobody grinds through the worst hours alone
5. We keep an eye on the guys who are newer because heat hits people differently
6. If it’s too dangerous, we push to the next day

Scott McFall, CSM and Bryan Woods are in Orlando this week with the Pittsburgh Paints team.

They’re down there for the 2027 Color of the Year launch and a couple of hands-on product sessions. It’s easy to think paint is paint until you spend a few hours with the people who formulate it and realize how much thought goes into something most people never look twice at.

We keep showing up to things like this because it changes how we talk to clients about their buildings. When we’re standing in front of a property manager explaining why we’re specifying a certain product, we want that answer to come from actually understanding it Knowledge is power!

Our co-founders are having a great time so far. They’ll be back to job sites soon!

Another project is finished and in the books for our Atlanta team! This time, over on Peachtree Road.

We took this space from bare subfloor to a warm, finished floor that’s ready for its next chapter. We also spruced up the inside of the business, and gave it a refresh for the next tenant. Miguel Gaytan Jr and his crew handled every step, from prep to final install, and the transformation speaks for itself.
