Pumpkins, Watermelons and Cantaloupe!
Oh my!

Our "Melon department" at the far end of the first aisle is fully stocked!

If you've got a few "fill in" spaces around the backyard or fence lines these three are a great way to make use of otherwise unproductive space and multiply your food supply!

As the vines grow just point the growing tips in the direction you want them to go!

And what kid big or small doesn't love decorating a Jack o' lantern at Halloween? :)🎃

We have an awesome selection of healthy starts for all three and I snapped some pix of the signs of the varieties on the tables as of Sat. May 30th for your virtual perusal.

If you like Cantaloupe and only have a small space the variety Minnesota Midget is productive with small, slightly large than a softball, but very tasty melons on compact 3' vines.

Always said those melons have to have a "church wedding" because they "can't elope".. Apologies... lol..
I never could resist a good pun, or a bad one for that matter! 🤣

Jen and I did a walk through video last night and although we're sold out of many varieties for this year we still have an awesome selection of vegetables and herbs, plus flowers, perennials, and all kinds of great garden goodies..:)🌿

Wanna give your posies, and everything else you grow some power?

Posy Power is a super all natural bio-active soil improvement made from steam sterilized horse manure, brewers' grain and even has gypsum for loosening hard clay soil and lime to lower the pH of our regionally hard alkaline clay.

Alas, when it's gone it's gone since Nea who pioneered this top of the line compost decades ago is retiring with no successor.
Her Husband Nick passed from cancer some years ago and they were both past retirement age at that point so I can't blame her.🙏

We bought the last of her bagged inventory and we've got a lot of it for now but it is a finite resource..

It's great for top dress fertilizing as well as mixing into the soil.

We'll be open until 6:30 pm May 13-15.

I've been trying to tell Jen we need evening hours for the store during prime planting season for several years, but she's the one tending it so ultimately it's her call.

In honor of the garlic scapes coming early, we will be staying open late! This coming Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, May 13-15, we will keep the shop open until 6:30pm so all you 9-5’ers can grab your veggies, herbs, and flowers for planting. 🤩🌿🍅
