We are excited to share some ongoing construction photos for our Witler Residences, 3 single family homes we have been working on with

Each house has the same footprint but is rotated or mirrored, creating three unique homes from the same massing. Developed from the irregular lot lines of the site, the footprint creates equitable, spacious interiors and a dynamic street front.

House #3 is fully framed, House #2 is framed to the second floor, House #1 has foundations poured—a glimpse into each stage of the shell construction.

Very Important Point / under construction

We designed this backyard renovation off of the outline of an existing pool that is going through repairs and upgrades

RED: The major construction lines come from a point where the edges of the pool converge, dictating the bounds of the project, column lines for the new storage room and exterior walls, and control joints for the concrete pad.

BLUE: the existing house defines the major thoroughfare through the space—a boardwalk—and the outdoor dining area.

YELLOW: Shapes intersect the boardwalk to specific areas like the pool, the outdoor shower/storage room, outdoor kitchen, and the landscaped yard edge.

We’ve been quiet on this one so far, but with construction finishing soon it’s time to share some of the progress on one of our next big projects - transforming the historic offices of Cincinnati’s Hake & Hake architects into the new headquarters for a local nonprofit.

Right on time for its centennial, this 1925 Renaissance Revival structure will house art and educational programming, community room for events and exhibits, office space, an art studio, job training programming, and a landscaping warehouse in the 14,000 SF building in Walnut Hills.

Over the course of the last two years, the design team has gotten to know what the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati described as a “exquisite and even witty” facade, “‘aged’ public spaces, and highly efficient, well-lit second-floor working quarters”, including a reproduction of a room in an actual Florentine palazzo, all over top an early car showroom. We’ve gotten to play a few architectural tricks on it (and it played just as many on us).

With minimal architectural insertions in dialogue with the historic structure, we’re excited to share more details as we transform the Hake Building into the non-profit’s new long term home.

The Whimsical & Practical Magic of Wildweed 🍜✨

Excited to share this fantastic feature on our playful yet functional design for Wildweed, a vibrant new restaurant in Cincinnati! 🎨🍽️

Chef David Jackman’s inventive menu—a playful twist on classic dishes—inspired a space that balances approachability with delightful surprises. The design team collaborated with millworkers, muralists, furniture makers, and more to craft bespoke solutions that make Wildweed truly unique.

Highlights of the Design:
✔ A noodle-like cerulean lighting trough winds through the space, tying different zones together.
✔ Clever millwork divides the floorplan while hiding ductwork and storing essentials.
✔ Maxwell Redder’s 30-foot mural, Edibles, conceals utilitarian spaces with artistic flair.
✔ A tile-clad wine cooler doubles as a corridor to the restrooms—blending beauty and function.

Every detail reflects Team B's philosophy: Where there’s play, there’s practicality. 🛠️🎨

One of the most critical aspects of our design for .cinci was the millwork built by . Each piece executed a different step of a tightly coordinated dance between ductwork, lighting, point of sale, sightlines, dish storage, wine temping, and more, all while making their own unique statements.

From the host stand, the guests’ and chefs’ point of view carves through the built environment back to the open kitchen. Booths line the walls, slipping in and out to define the dining areas, and more characters emerge from the margins.

Through careful planning and coordination, all of these serendipitous elements come together as a cohesive whole.
