• storage needs
• lighting balance
• long-term durability

There’s something special about seeing a design leave the drawing board and become part of the landscape.

What started as a conversation and a set of sketches is now a completed detached garage for Kim, sitting exactly where it was once imagined. Watching the framing go up, the siding go on, and the details come together never gets old.

There’s a special moment when you stand back and realize that something which only existed on paper now exists in the real world — built, functional, and ready to be used for years to come.

🏗️ Cabin Addition Progress Update 🏡

These latest photos really show how far this project has come. With the original cabin roof now removed, the floor sheathing installed, and additional window rough-ins added, the scale of this addition is finally clear.

Now that we can truly see the volume of space we’re working with, the design decisions are coming into sharper focus — especially how light will move through the home and how the new spaces will connect back to the original cabin. Moments like this are when plans on paper fully turn into reality, and it’s exciting to watch it unfold.

More progress to come as this mountain cabin continues its transformation.
