Been a while since I posted as life has been quite hectic ! Finally had time to readjust the grown tent (now using a 2x4 rather than a 3x3) and adjusted the shelving.

🌱 Guess who's back? The resilient green beans plant from last year! 🌿 It's a testament to nature's persistence and the joy of gardening. As the weather warms and the sun kisses the earth, my green beans have sprouted again, defying the odds and gracing my garden with their vibrant presence.

Last year, I nurtured these green beans with care, watching them grow from tender seeds into flourishing plants, yielding a bountiful harvest. But as the seasons changed and winter arrived, I bid farewell to my beloved plants, assuming their journey had come to an end.

Yet, nature had other plans. With the arrival of spring, I noticed tiny shoots emerging from the soil, a familiar green hue that filled me with delight. It was my green beans, returning from their dormant state, ready to thrive once more.

Their comeback serves as a reminder of nature's resilience and the cyclical beauty of life. Just when we think something has reached its conclusion, it finds a way to start anew, often with even more vigor than before.

So here's to my green beans, rising from the earth like phoenixes, teaching me the invaluable lesson of perseverance and the ever-renewing cycle of growth. I eagerly anticipate the days ahead, filled with the promise of fresh harvests and the simple joys of tending to my resilient garden companions. 🌱✨

The first frost is about to hit us!

Enjoy the warm weather while it’s here! We are in for a big cool down for the start of next week with highs falling into the 40s and 50s. Our first widespread frost is also looking likely as lows potentially fall into the 20s and 30s Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Just a quick morning from the .You do not have to wait until a is bright red to pick. Once they reach a pinkish color, harvest them as they will continue to ripen. This will help in the loss prevention to animals. All they need is a constant temperature and air flow, they do not have to sit on the window seal. The second picture are a few I picked last week that used that method.

A decent harvest being our first year doing corn. Tried the 3 sisters method (corn, green beans and squash) but sadly had a hard time doing squash this year (I'm positive I had over 100lbs of squash last year). Any tips and tricks for corn growing? Would love to try some next year.
