Can I be real with y'all for a moment?
(Kinda a long post, but felt I needed to speak on it)
Does anyone else ever feel this way?
(Feel free to comment and let us know if y'all have been through this as well)
Social media can look so glamorous, but behind every post and every pretty picture are thoughts and feelings that most people never see. I know I can't be the only maker who sits and wonders if the ideas in my head will be a hit or a miss.
Have you ever poured your heart into a project, spent hours, days, or even weeks creating something you're incredibly proud of, only for it to seem like no one notices? Maybe it gets a handful of likes and a couple of hearts, and that's it. Meanwhile, the one thing you almost didn't share because you thought it wasn't good enough ends up being the thing everyone loves.
The human mind is funny like that.
One thing I've always wondered is why complete strangers often cheer us on and celebrate our dreams, while friends and family don't always show the same excitement or support. Not all of them, of course, but enough that it can sometimes sting. It's something many small business owners and dream chasers quietly struggle with.
The truth is, we're often our own biggest critics. We know the passion, effort, time, and love that go into what we create, yet we're usually the first ones to doubt ourselves. We don't always give ourselves the grace we deserve.
So if you're feeling discouraged today, if you're feeling unseen or wondering if what you're doing matters, this is your reminder:
You are doing amazing.
Keep creating. Keep dreaming. Keep chasing that passion that's been placed on your heart. You are seen, your work has value, and the world is brighter because of the sparkle you bring to it.
And whatever you do, don't ever let anyone dull your beautiful sparkle. β¨π
