Hello Garden and Plant Friends!

It is that time of year again and we are starting our seeds for vegetable garden starts. Our method improves every year and we have learned a LOT! We have also produced consistently high quality plants with robust root systems that are ready to start producing fruit soon after transplanting.

Commerical garden shops are not able to give the time and dedication we do to our green garden babies. We take great pride in our plants.

So...question for you all: Do any of you have requests? A specific variety you know you want or a largerr number of a specific type? Now is the time to start planning for that so we know what you all need!

We do lots of tomoato and pepper plants at this stage. We had a request last year for standard eggplants so we will do some of those this year. We are also starting various perennial herbs, flowering plants, and nasturtiums (nast-UR-shums) as well.

(Nasturtiums help with garden pest control and are super pretty too.)

We will start pumpkins, squashes, cucumbers and summer herbs later in the season.

As always, we welcome all gardeners and plant lovers of all skill levels. We are happy to offer help in soil prep, pest control, plant care, etc. Tambien se habla espanol.

Comment on this post or PM us to let us know what you need! Please enjoy some pictures of gardening successes from last year. (All plants pictured are ours, nearly all of them grown by us from seed!) Thanks for your support, all!

hi friends!

I have a cuddle party tomorrow at my place in clearfield from 1pm to 6pm. I need a few more people so I will have enough people for it to count as one of my last 2 parties needed to become certified!

please pm me if you would like to come!

also if anyone would be willing to watch out kids during that time so my wife can attend that would also help.

Thanks everyone!

We have more Starts again this year! And because we have leveled up our game, the plants are bigger and stronger than ever this year! We have tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, pumpkins (carving size), and cucumbers.

All plants are hardened off and ready to plant!

Tomato Varieties
Red Cherry
Black Cherry
Roma (Good for Sauces)
Early Girl (smaller red slicing tomato, fruits earlier than most other tomatoes, fruits generously)
Russian Green (matures green, has a uniquely citrussy taste, tomatoes are beefsteak size)
Mortgage Lifter (heirloom variety red tomato, beefsteak size)

Peppers

Sweet Bell
Yum Yum (sweet snacking size)
Poblano
Jalapeño

Pricing:

Plants in 1 gallon pots are $10. (They were repotted because they got too tall for our indoor shelves. So they are more than 12 inches tall.)

Plants in the white fabric holders that are 6-12 inches tall are $8.

Plants less than 6 inches are $5.

We have been caring for these plants since February (in the case of the tomato and pepper plants) and have given them the highest standard of care. We use the fabric holders and bottom water to promote healthy and full root development (and the fabric holders also help prevent root binding).

Cash or Venmo accepted, pick up in South Clearfield. We are family friendly and supportive of any and all plant loving people. Se habla Español.

Also happy to offer any tips on growing, transplanting, soil prep, bug prevention strategies, etc. Tips are free :).

We have two apple trees in our back yard. The red ones are Firestorm Honey Crisp and this is the tree's first year producing! (We call her Honey Senpai and she gave us 4 delicious apples!) The green ones are more of a tart granny smith type cooking apple. We got around 400 lbs of apples from our green apple tree we call Granny. Amazing, right?

Here is one of our happy apple-eating girls. (The Honey crisps are so good she could not even wait for the picture! Lol)

Friends!

In our pursuit of becoming better gardeners, we are going to try something new this year. We are going to try to overwinter our peppers, which means we dig them up, put them in a pot, prune them pretty significantly and bring them inside. They will sit under our grow lights indoors most of the winter, only being outside when daytime temperatures are favorable. We have not brought them inside yet, but probably will around October 1st, which in our zone (6a North Utah) is about 2 weeks before our typical 1st frost date.

Here is a video about how to do this:

Hello friends! Granny has her apples ready. It is a beautiful and bounteous crop this year!

We are selling them by the pound, $1 a pound if we pick them and $0.50 if you'd like to come and pick.

Today over 50 lbs have already been picked and it barely made a dent! There is plenty but I am sure they won't last.
