Yesterday, May 1, marked the 30th anniversary of ADA. It is hard to believe that what started as merely an idea 6 months prior to May 1, 1992 has grown to span over 940 total projects, over 340 church projects, and work in 17 states. Seems like yesterday, but that is a testament to "time flies when you're having fun!" I am thoroughly blessed to have been associated with such a fine group of clients, consulting engineers, and contractors. Could not have done it without an incredible wife/best friend, and a great family; all encouraging and supporting me every day.

ADA is very grateful to Anchor Coffee for allowing us to assist with their new Winston-Salem location at Bailey Power Plant.

This is Anchor Coffee’s first location outside of their home base of Wilkesboro, NC. Anchor contacted ADA and asked us to assist with their upfit in this former R. J. Reynolds To***co Company power plant. The 20 foot tall rugged concrete space perfectly fit the industrial vibe Anchor was seeking.

ADA worked with Anchor to preserve the existing character of the space while completing the build-out of the coffee shop. The building manager made a set of the original gear and chain from the power plant available for our use. We generated a feature wall for its installation.

May 1 was the 28th anniversary of opening the Architectural Design Associates doors for the first time. That day started with a hope and a prayer. The hope was to serve churches, and the prayer was that God would bless that hope. In the ensuing 28 years, He has blessed that hope abundantly. Not only with church projects (330+), but with more than 850 total projects! Happy Birthday ADA.
