Throughout the past couple of weeks, I have worked conscientiously on all the preparation and waterproofing that has gone into this primary bathroom, from the bathroom floor to the shower floor, the bench, and the niche, all of which are heated. The niche and under the bench will also showcase LED lights with a dimmer switch. The client and contractor, along with the decorator, have invested heavily in this project, and it is evident in the meticulous attention to detail.

To demonstrate the mitered edge and color match epoxy, I have created a sample piece for my upcoming project, which I will present to my client. The shower's design excludes bullnose and metal trim. This project will undoubtedly push my patience and skill to the limit. However, I am eager to take on the challenge and see the final outcome.

This bathroom renovation is nearing completion, and I am delighted with the final outcome of this project. Schluter System was utilized for all waterproofing and heating requirements. The floor and shower floor feature the Ditra heat electric floor warming system, which provides warmth during winter and helps to dry and prevent moisture and mold in the shower. All the Tile and materials for this job came from McCullough Tile & Stone in Winston Salem

The first week of demo has been solid and we are now installing ditra heat mats and kerdi boards on walls. Master floor to shower floor will all have heated flooring. This master bathroom will be stunning when complete.

I am currently practicing miter cuts and utilizing epoxy for the edge finish. While the color match is not perfect, I am striving to improve this technique. The left side has been cut out to reveal the raw edge and highlight the smooth epoxy finish. It is remarkably strong and, in my view, more aesthetically pleasing than metal trim and bullnose options.
