A recent installation of Florida native plants to replace St. Augustine grass;
As the plants grow and fill in there will be a path through the area.
Why make these changes?
This area is adjacent to a water body and the water management district is requiring the properties within the HOA to create buffer areas utilizing native plants without maintained turf areas.
So using the plant pallet available, a design was implemented to reflect the style of the home.

Plants used:
•sand cord grass (Spartina bakeri)
•dwarf Fakahatchee grass (Tripsacum floridanum)
•dune sunflower (Helianthus debilis)
•railroad vines (Ipomoea pes-caprae)

We named my son Rowan after the rowan tree and I’ve been on the hunt to find one growing naturally and in the wild. This has meant leaving my home state of Florida and traveling to their native mountainous, elevated and colder growing regions. So we made the trip to one of their native habitats and found some of them at elevation and in the wild. And it was the season they are ripe with red berries at Glacier National Park in Montana, USA
