Bathroom Bliss in Waite Hill's Classic Colonial Home

We're thrilled to unveil our latest project: a tasteful and functional update to the master bathroom in a stunning colonial-style home in Waite Hill. Our mission was to freshen up the space, replacing outdated elements while maintaining the room's original charm.

🚿 Shower Transformation: Out with the old, in with the new! We completely removed the existing shower and replaced it with all-new plumbing. The tile choice? Hampton Carrara marble - an exquisite selection with hints of gray and tan that add warmth to its subtle elegance. This marble, laid over a Schluter complete waterproofing system, ensures durability and timeless beauty.

🔩 Safety and Comfort: We altered the framing in the shower area to provide solid backing for grab bars, installed for both current and future needs. A foldable teak wall-mounted seat adds a layer of comfort, making the shower experience both luxurious and accessible.

🔷 Modern Glass Enclosure: Thanks to Castle Glass, the shower now boasts a chic 1/2" thick laminated glass enclosure, perfectly blending modern style with classic aesthetics.

🪞 Vanity Revival: The heart of the bathroom transformation lies in the vanity update. We removed the countertop and sinks And installed a new countertop with a striking 3cm thick Cambria Brittanicca polished quartz surface. Its creamy marbled background with gray and charcoal details creates a stunning focal point, complemented by new Kohler undermount sinks and contemporary faucet fixtures.

🎨 Cabinet Makeover: All cabinet doors and drawers were removed, and all of the cabinetry got a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams low VOC Gallery cabinet paint, known for its hard and durable finish.

🔨 Floor and Moldings: We replaced stained floor tiles with new, elegant ones matching existing and installed fresh new wood moldings. A new paint job across the bathroom brought everything together, giving the space a much-needed refresh.

🌟 Exciting Reveal Alert! 🌟

After a year filled with anticipation and a few unexpected delays due to ongoing supply chain challenges, we are thrilled to unveil one of our more unique projects in the last year!

A heartfelt thanks to our incredibly gracious and patient customers for their unwavering support throughout this journey. 🙏 Their home in Shaker Heights has undergone a transformative makeover, all thanks to the creative genius of Sally Levine from Levine Architecture and Design.

Inspired by the classic architecture of the University of Virginia, this project breathes new life into the basic colonial style of the home. 🏛️ The centerpiece? A stunning new covered porch starting with the foundation crafted from aged brick, topped with a limestone deck. An extraordinary touch is the repurposed brick from a demolished building at the college, thoughtfully inset into the limestone right at the front door – a nod to history and sustainability.

The framing, inspired by the iconic college, is complemented by custom-fabricated copper gutters and downspouts, adding both function and elegance. 💫 The porch ceiling has been revamped to not only look amazing but also includes updated lighting and additional outlets for festive Christmas lights. Plus, we've integrated CAT5e wiring for modern connectivity needs.

And the cherry on top? A bespoke porch swing from Silo Woodworking, adding a cozy and inviting touch to this already beautiful space.

This project is a testament to patience, creativity, and collaboration. We couldn't be prouder of the outcome and are excited to share these moments with you. Swipe ➡️ to see the transformation!

The structure of this old three season room was torn down to create a new sunroom for year-round use. New framing, electrical, insulation, drywall, windows, doors, and flooring were installed; as well as a fresh paint job.

Just outside of the sunroom, a demo of the old upper deck made way for new framing, benches, a table, and steps with railing above the existing lower deck.

New vinyl siding, seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts were also installed on the outside of the home, along with self-regulating heater cables on the roof.

New overhead garage doors were also added for better functionality and to create a seamless look with the new outdoor space.

After a complete demolition; this bathroom remodel received new framing, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, and an exhaust fan. Walnut sills, white subway tiles, and green specialty tiles create the overall style of the space.

Along with this; a deep soaking tub, wall-hung vanity, bidet toilet seat, steam-free lighted mirror, and recessed niches both outside and inside of the shower contribute to the style and function of this bathroom.

Bluetooth speakers were also installed in the ceiling so music can be enjoyed during use.

This home’s primary bedroom was split into two to add a sitting room, along with an attached bathroom remodel, creating a cohesive suite. In addition, two closets were merged into one walk-in closet and the wood flooring in the bedroom and sitting room was refinished.

The attached bathroom was fully remodeled; including heated flooring, a drop in whirlpool bath tub with a granite top that leads into the bench of the stone tiled walk-in shower. A separate toilet room was added on with a bidet seat and pedestal sink.

The orange material shown in the bathroom remodel is an uncoupling membrane designed to prevent tiles and grout from cracking, along with serving as a waterproof barrier.

As part of a master suite remodel, this bathroom was created in the previous office space/sewing room (shown in the last picture). It includes a zero entry shower with no door, a fold-down teakwood shower seat and built-in radiant heating in the floor for an all around comfortable space.
