My install manager just brought this to my attention. This furnace filter burned and caught fire because the previous heating and cooling company jumped the limits. The customer called the fire department and shut down the furnace, and Arco Comfort Air installed a brand new high efficiency furnace the very next day, keeping our new customer warm and comfortable amidst these freezing temps. Today we are installing 5 high efficiency furnaces for other customers - and most are also no heats. Thank you so much to the Arco Comfort Air team that relentlessly works so hard everyday to keep our customers comfortable and safe!!!

Snow may be causing a no-heat situation for your furnace. This could be a solution for you...

I just spoke to one customer and helped talk them out of a no-heat situation. If you have a high efficiency furnace, it needs to have the intake and exhaust pipes free with no obstructions. If blowing snow has drifted and covered your pipe(s), the furnace will shut down on a safety limit because it cannot vent properly. Check to be sure there is no snow blocking the air intake/exhaust piping; this could be the cause of a no-heat situation. It was for Carl in Strongsville and now his furnace is working properly again, keeping him and his family warm in the midst of this snow storm. :) So, clear the snow, turn the furnace off for at least 10 seconds at its switch, allow the system to clear and reset itself, raise the temperature on the thermostat several degrees to make a demand call for heat and the system may resolve itself.
