IF YOU HAVE A OLDER 410a outdoor Condenser. You may want to think about upgrading your outdoor unit before the last of the 410 units are GONE. When that happens, youll be stuck with repairing it or having to switch out everything AND add controls to your existing furnace, or upgrade to a new furnace as well!! The new refrigerant requires a air monitoring sensor that shuts the AC system off and turns your furnaces fan on in the event of a leak in the indoor coil. At the very least you should get your older AC unit looked at and serviced! Most people dont realize their AC is even in need of service! Many times leaks and/or dirt buildup take years to noticeably affect indoor comfort. In a perfect world your AC system SHOULD NEVER need a recharge. Unfortunately, microscopic leaks do occur and once a leak happens, your system leaks refrigerant 24/7/365!! Even then, the next season you use your system, you wont even realize your unit needs to run 10% longer to cool your home. The next year it may run 20% longer and so on…You dont notice something is wrong until you start to FEEL uncomfortable or you notice your system seems to run all the time! Sometimes you will start seeing water around your furnace! The point is , if you haven’t had your system looked at in years past, THIS IS THE SEASON TO HAVE IT SERVICED!! With the change to R-32 here, there are only a handful of R410 units left. If upgrading isnt a option for you this year, then at least have us out to give your system a pre-season cleaning and tune up!! I dont offer system tune ups for $69.99 or some other “loss leader” type pricing!! My unit tune ups are $250.00 and I only recommend parts if you need them! This is my pre-season pricing. If you want to
Get a assessment of your system without spending to much then its best to start out with just having us out for the $80.00 (initial diagnostic/trip charge) to see whats going on. Pre-season new system pricing wont last long!! Mark 440-623-0112
For all outdoor units: Take a look at your outdoor units FAN MOTOR! Its usually right at the top where the air discharges from the unit. You will be looking through the louvered top, but should be able to see the condition of the motor. If its looking pretty rusty, id HIGHLY ADVISE you TO HAVE IT UPGRADED TO NEW! When that motor inevitably fails, the compressor overheats and 50% of the time the compressor catastrophically fails before you notice something is wrong and can shut the system off!! With the change to R32, youll be remembering you read this and feel silly for not taking advantage of knowing this beforehand !! 🤣🤣😩—-
