Creating an inviting library entrance requires thoughtful planning mixed with moments of magic. At Cleveland Public Library’s Woodland Branch, our design team created a fun and energetic illuminated entrance canopy to elevate the arrival experience. The glowing overhang creates a portal through the main entrance, drawing in visitors from the outdoor plaza.

Technology in service of humanity.

Case Western Reserve University Human Fusions Institute (HFI) sought to embody that ethos by relocating, expanding, and upgrading their underperforming robotics laboratories in a new home that would cultivate collaboration and inspire innovation.

Carissa Smith, RA, NCARB, Project Architect at Bostwick Design Partnership, adds, “It has been an amazing experience working with Case and the leadership at Human Fusions Institute—by trying to capture the nebulous act of idea-sharing, we were able to create something really special and – I believe, a space that can truly foster collaboration.”

The design features large open lab spaces for collaboration, inviting lounges equipped with virtual tech capabilities, and uninterrupted sightlines to views of the University Circle neighborhood.

Checkout our intricate detail work at Ashtabula Regional Medical Center’s recently completed Patient Care Tower!

The exterior screen wall was designed to elegantly conceal both existing and new utilities for the Patient Care Tower. Featuring vertically installed mechanical louvers; the design harmoniously complements the adjacent façade panels of the new tower. Each louver was custom fabricated to create graceful, sculptural waves, inducing a sense of serenity while framing the connection to the nearby Ashtabula River behind the hospital.

The gently curved screen wall not only minimizes the visual impact of HVAC equipment, but also subtly guides visitors toward the main entrance, enhancing both the functionality and the aesthetic appeal.

This week, Women Religious Archive Collaborative, Bostwick Design Partnership, Tom Chema from Gateway Group, and Regency Construction gathered on the grounds of the future Women Religious Archive Center to celebrate the commencement of design! Our teams toasted to a truly successful and fulfilling partnership. Sister Barbera Jean and Sister Martha blessed the grounds as part of their tradition. It was a beautiful afternoon to gather - and can you believe the epic view of Downtown Cleveland? We’re so excited to kick off construction starting in March 2025!

This state-of-the-art facility is set to elevate healthcare services in the Erie community, offering advanced care with a patient-centered approach. 🌟 Employee Spotlight: David Brennan, AIA NCARB 🌟 

We are thrilled to recognize Dave Brennan, Senior Director of the Erie Office at Bostwick Design Partnership, for his incredible commitment to design and the Erie community. Over the past three years, Dave has worked to create stunning new welcome gates for the Erie Zoo 🦁🦓

This project holds special sentimental value for Dave, as he fondly remembers posing in front of the original mosaic tiles as a child. His dedication to preserving these memories led him to advocate for the restoration of the iconic mosaic tiles and masonry piers, ensuring they remain a cherished part of the Zoo’s history.

Dave collaborated with local graphic artist Alex Strasser to bring his final design sketches to life, resulting in beautiful steel gates adorned with animal silhouettes.

Last week was full of excitement and anticipation for the opening of the new Ashtabula Regional Medical Center Patient Care Tower. The new four-story, $115 million medical tower will offer private patient rooms, expanded wound care, robotic surgery, emergency rooms tailored for mental health patients and more. The new facility also will allow residents to get health care closer to home.
 
Dozens of community members and design team staff showed up to admire the new building and celebrate the positive change it will bring to residences of Northeast Ohio and beyond!
