Last week, HD+S team members joined John G. Johnson Construction on site at McKay Lodge Conservation to review and measure murals painted by Bob Cothran that will be reinstalled in the newly renovated Heiser Lounge at Kendal at Oberlin later this summer. The team collaborated on the best installation method for the murals while maintaining their beauty for residents and guests to enjoy for many years. We look forward to revealing the finished renovation soon!

HD+S was delighted to be on site for the raising and installation of the lantern at Arch of St. Michael. Meticulously recreating the original design, American International Construction, built and erected the 14 foot tall, approximately 1,000 pound replica of the original lantern. Sitting atop the five story former school building, the copper clad lantern will patina naturally over time, matching other existing copper elements on the building.

HD+S was honored to receive the Award of Excellence for Facade Restoration for the Providence House Crisis Nursery Weizer Building last Friday at the Cleveland Restoration Society and AIA Cleveland Celebration of Preservation awards. Congratulations to all of the evening's winners and the dedication to bringing historic structures back to life!

HD+S is honored to be the architect and interior designer for the new affordable senior independent living building in Elyria, adjacent to the recently opened McGregor PACE adult day health center and clinic.

McGregor Landing will be a new affordable housing project for adults aged 55 and older that will be located near the new McGregor PACE clinic in Elyria.

Recently, HD+S celebrated the groundbreaking of Cleveland West Veterans Housing, a development exclusively for homeless veterans comprised of 62 one-bedroom units with on-site supportive services by the Veterans Administration (VA) Cleveland VA Medical Center. We are proud to be the architect and interior designer in partnership with CHN Housing Partners for this impactful building for our community!
