Hypa-Tufa, ETC. Planters

Hypa-Tufa, ETC. Planters Why would you grow plants in plastic? Heavy clay pots? No thank you. Hypertufa: Environmentally safe? I've always loved gardens filled with fresh herbs.

Basil being one of my favorites to grow. These plants don't like to be wet all the time and they don't lke the cold. After years of putting up with plastic planters rotting and breaking apart when you move them, and the ceramic planters way too heavy to move them by yourself, I found a recipe for hypertufa planters. These planters are ieal for herbs, succulents, and cactus. I made my first one and

decided, this is the way to go. As time went by, these planters proved themselves to be invaluable to me. I can now easliy transport my basil to the inside when cold weather strikes. The plants' soil is provided nutrients from the planter's material it's made with, and my cactus never fear of being over watered. My love of music inspired me to make a musical theme which I am in the process of building my own molds. Being the environmentalist that I am, I use recycled items for all my projects. (Trying to do my part to keep from over-filling the dumps.) It's fun to create an idea into an actual product. Did I mention the fact when I was young, I would make my brother mud pies and serve it to him to eat. Forgive me my younger brother for I know you are much bigger than me now and wouldn't try this on you now. These planters can survive the frost, heat and other natural elements mother nature can unleash on us. Over time, left in the rain, it will grow a nice mossy appearance on the planter, just like the original old troughs made in England. These stone like planters blend in well with nature.

I crafted this draped hypertufa planter for my daughter-in-law in 2015, along with others situated around her pool area. These planters remain remarkably resilient and visually appealing despite exposure to harsh winters, heavy rainfall, and hurricanes. By opting for hypertufa planters, you can eliminate plastic and provide your roots with better aeration. When properly maintained, these planters can endure and retain their aesthetic appeal over an extended period.

I'm not done yet! Now, my jalapeno plants have exploded. At least, these two are easy to pickle. Anyone?? Seems like I'll be making pickles and jalapeno jars for a while.

A newly discovered wondrous pool, which lies 700 ft. below Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico, has never before been seen by human eyes. This cave pool, which appears to be completely “virgin,” was found in Lechuguilla Cave, one of the world’s largest and most famous caves.

Light enough to float, until full of water.

I'm so into music and plants, I'm going to start making my guitar planters again! Different sizes and shapes. I'll be making the draped and molded planters as well, some with a bit of a twist to them. Imagination goes a long way! Posting pics soon!
