It’s been a long time! Finally found time after Xmas to bring this empire mahogany sideboard to life. Not enough “before pics” to illustrate the horrible old varnish coating every square inch of this. Used AS Paris grey and Aubusson mix for color, GF java gel stain and gold gilding wax. Plan to also use a wash of GF Van D**e Brown on painted areas before all is said and done. Top turned out gorgeous with only one coat of stain.
