Jan of Jan Britt Interiors can create a custom look for your home! We provide interior design, home staging, window treatment, and senior relocation design consultations. We can even provide instructional classes to teach you step by step how to decorating, stage a home to sell, make your own window treatments or learn how to sew.

Learning interior design is even more fun when you can put it into practice!

On our field trip, my Kennesaw State University, CPE Interior Design Master Class students had hands-on experience selecting and coordinating fabrics and paint for their mood boards. We talked about choosing the right fabric for the project, mixing patterns, and selecting upholstery for furniture.
I also teach my students how to choose the right fabric for their furniture needs when they are shopping for furniture at a furniture store.

I’ve been teaching at Kennesaw State University CPE for 26 years, and I love seeing my students learn together, share ideas, and grow in confidence. I keep my classes small so I can give each student individual attention.

I love teaching the Interior Design Master Class at Kennesaw State University’s CPE! In this photo, my current class is on a field trip to a fabric store, where we’re learning about color palettes, trims, furniture, mixing patterns, choosing the right fabrics for different projects, and so much more!

Seeing the fabrics in person gives students valuable insight: some fabrics work beautifully for certain uses, while others may not be the right choice. I want my students to leave with practical knowledge they can use with confidence.

I’m so grateful that many students return for more of my classes. After 26 years of teaching at Kennesaw State University, it means a great deal to me that they keep coming back. Thank you for choosing to attend my classes!

Today was so special! I was proud to represent the Window Coverings Association Of America as we donated our Anti Ouch Pouches to Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center. This facility helps people with breast cancer. We at the WCAA are happy to have been able to organize, fabricate, and donate so many of these special pouches to help breast cancer patients.

Tea parties are so much fun! Usually, I enjoy tea parties with my grandchildren or with my friend Eileen. Another friend called me up and asked me if she could come over and have a tea party with me. She has never requested that before. So, I took a little time out of my day and I created a nice little tea party for her. We both had such a good time! I’m glad she asked!
