We wrapped up this beautiful project in Mathews today. We started with a great deal of bed preparation by removing all of the existing plant material. Then we amended the soil with compost, installed drainage, installed steel edging, added low voltage lighting, planted several loads of plants and wrapped up today with mulch.
We're very thankful for the opportunity to work on such a beautiful property for amazing clients.

A little walk through of a planting project we completed yesterday. We installed a mix of deer resistant flowering perennials, trees and shrubs. Can't wait to watch it grow!

We completed this project today on Gwynns Island. We started with a blank canvas and planted a mixture of evergreen shrubs, flowering perennials and spring bulbs. We also installed pop up drainage on the downspouts to make sure water is diverted from around the foundation. We also installed a border of steel edging to help keep the flowerbed edges well defined for a long time to come.

Yesterday we completed a planting project for one of our long-term landscape maintenance clients. Over the years the Leyland Cypress trees that were planted to screen from the neighbors had overgrown the narrow planting space. Our client had the old trees removed and we worked with them to find the right solution for a new screening planting. We selected Junior Giant Arborvitae, an evergreen tree that has a mature height and width that will fit well and can be easily maintained to fit in the narrow planting space as they mature.

Earlier this week, we completed a project, and here are a few pictures. We cleared an old dog fence area, added soil and amended the soil to elevate the planting areas, installed steel edging to separate the planting beds from the gravelled areas, graded the land to ensure proper drainage, installed plants that can withstand coastal flooding, installed a drip irrigation system, and finally laid down brown gravel. The result is a beautiful wooded garden perfect for enjoying nature, visiting with friends, or enjoying a fire in the fire pit.

Today we returned to a planting project we completed this spring to install a gravel fire pit and seating area. We leveled out the area, installed an 18' diameter steel edge, installed fabric and cracked brown #78 stone. Finally we dressed the edges with topsoil and grass seed. All ready for enjoulying the beautuful view and fall camp fires.

Here are a few highlight pictures from recent mulching projects we've completed. These are all planting projects that we've done in the past few years. It's highly rewarding to provide continuing maintenance and watch the growth of these projects year after year.
