Tom Schroeder Rotary Drilling And Pump Company

Tom Schroeder Rotary Drilling And Pump Company Water Well Drilling~Complete Water Systems
Pump Repair Service~Pressure Tanks~Solar Pumps Tom started drilling wells in 1978.

He was introduced at a young age to the industry by gatehering knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and work ethic from his father, Pete Schroeder and Oral Schnakenberg who owned Farm and Home Appliance. He began his well drilling career working for Lowell Barnes on June 5, 1978. After working there for a year gaining considerable knowledge of the water well business he helped train the present own

er of Barnes Well Drilling in Cole Camp, Walt Heisterberg. He worked for Lowell for 12 years also helping Ron Roberts and Paul Schumacher at R and S Drilling during the winter months. In 1990 when Walt negotiated the purchase of Barnes Well Drilling from its original owner Lowell Barnes the decision was made to move on without Tom. At this point Schroeder Pump Company was established. Tom's first pump rig a 1969 B-32 Smeal was acquired when he purchased Braden Pump Service from Jim Braden in Liberty, Missouri. Tom operated Schroeder Pump Company on a part time basis while attending Crowder College Environmental Sciences Program at Neosho, Missouri where he was able to expand greatly his knowledge of the industry. He drove home from Neosho working evenings and weekends at Schroeder Pump Company when needed, all the while still maintaining his attendance to classes at Crowder. It was at Crowder where he learned a great deal about pumps and pumping systems as well as the impact society has on our environment. At Crowder where he was taught that there was only one way, the correct way, to size not only pumps but pipe, wire, and pressure tanks as well. He graduated at the top of his class in May of 1992 with a 4.0 GPA. Upon graduation Tom has become a major player in the water well industry in Central Missouri. In 1995 after some prodding from his banker, Mark Mason of Union Savings Bank, Tom expanded his business to include water well drilling. The purchase of a Schramm Rotadrill now meant that he could share his expertise and experience he had gained previously with his customer base. The name changed to Schroeder Rotary Drilling and Pump Company and the rest is history. For several years Tom has had the led the Missouri DNR WIMS reporting for the most wells drilled in the surrounding area and this can be confirmed by viewing their data base which is public record. He has a staff of employees that are second to none when it comes to knowledge, experience, and work ethic. Tom maintains financial responsibility to his customers and staff by maintaining General Liability Insurance to the limit of 2 million dollars as well as covering his employees with Workers Compensation and Unemployment Benefits while paying the required SSI and Medicare. When you hire Tom just ask for a Certificate of Insurance and he will call his agent and have one sent promptly to you. Tom is now in his 43nd year in the industry with 33 of them being a self employed owner. Tom and his staff bring to the table the most extensive training and knowledge in the area to handle your drilling and pump service needs. Tom also does geo thermal ground source heating and cooling work with some the areas most reputable HVAC contractors. Give Tom a call for the areas best service when it comes to water well drilling, pump installations and repair, and geothermal drilling.

It’s that time of year again! ❄️

While you’re preparing for the winter storm, don’t forget about your water! Check to make sure you have heat in your well house or crawl space. A heat bulb is not enough to keep water flowing in the freezing temperatures.

Should you find yourself without water, give us a call.

Over the holiday break, with the help of Travis at Headwaters Wholesale in Springfield, MO we wrapped up a new energy-efficient, state-of-the-art, DAB EsyBox Quad Booster System for the patrons of Pettis County R-12 School in Dresden, MO, updating an unreliable existing booster system that dated back 50 years and had outlived its usefulness.

Get a lot of calls about our R-20 closed cell foam insulated well houses. There are cheap imitations out there, let us help explain the differences. These are the original rot free, heavy wall, energy efficient well houses. We start with a 4" 6 bag mix Portland cement pad not a gravel or dirt floor. This prevents rodents and snakes from digging in and becoming your new neighbor. Next comes our Owen's Corning Thermal Resistant structural composite 2"×6" rim instead of today's "here today gone tommorrow" treated lumber. Our metal box is crafted out of 24 guage G-90 premium grade galvanized metal and strengthened with a minimum of 2" of closed cell foam on the inside. If you look closely at the imitations, they come with a thin layer R-2 paper duct insulation that mice and other rodents love. This insulation does not seal out drafts and does little to seal out the cold of a frigid Missouri night. It also leaves the box structurally flimsy and easily sprung and bent. We also use an aircraft quality rubber seal to create an air tight seal between the box and the rot resistant Owens Corning rim. It comes with a hasp for locking. Don't be fooled by the cheap imitations. Open their box up, if it's flimsy and got the paper insulation give us a call for the best. 660 668 4620.

Saturday was a busy day with the Cole Camp Fair and everything else, but we weren't too busy to answer the phone, going about business as usual. And shazam, we're helping out a 500-head feed lot with a new well deep enough to water 1000 cows.
