Hint: Things happen. If you're going away on vacation, turn off the water main for your house before you go so if something breaks while you're gone you won't be flooding your house the whole time. It isn't likely but it did happen to one client last month - the family came home and found their bathroom flooded (the toilet tank had split).

Just for fun ... do you thrift store shop? How about yard sales? Ever shopped at those front-lawns where there's "free-no returns" merchandise? The other day we came upon just that ... a worn out office chair that I could not resist ... the old chair had nice, like-new legs that I thought had the same configuration as my $8.95 Goodwill office chair that came with ugly, dinged up legs while the chair itself was like-new. Nicely done, Arlen!👌

Reduce Home Hazards

Repair defective electrical wiring and leaky gas connections.
Place large objects on low shelves.
Hang pictures and mirrors away from beds.
Secure picture frames, mirrors, and shelves to wall studs.
Repair cracks in ceilings and foundations.
Store chemicals away from heat sources.
Dispose of oily rags and waste appropriately.
Professionally clean and repair chimneys, gas vents, etc.

Arlen gets many unique problems. Today's challenge was to design a circuit that would set off an alarm in the event something failed on a sump pump, to prevent a water emergency for the renter and apartment manager.
