It has been a great honor and privilege providing project management services for St. Mary's Catholic Church's new church in College Station this past year! While groundbreakings are fun to celebrate what has been accomplished so far - the real celebration will be when we finish and dedicate the new church in early 2023!

Last week, I attended a groundbreaking ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for the construction of its new church building. Among the many distinguished guests and donors attending the eve…

A few updates as it relates to building in College Station:
1) This weekend and next is the Greater Brazos Valley's Parade of Homes - a great way to see the latest trends in homebuilding for our area.
2) Among builders there's currently a large increase in lumber prices - and the reason is really interesting!

This weekend and next, the Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association is hosting its bi-annual Parade of Homes. This is a great opportunity for those who want to experience the latest trends and cr…

Today College Station's City Council will be voting on the controversial Restricted Occupancy Overlay that would allow adopting neighborhoods to restrict the unrelated number of roommates from 4 to 2. This raises a number of multigenerational equity issues and healthy city growth that we've outlined in this post. We plan better cities when all of us at a community weigh in on policies like this. Please consider writing City Council or signing up to speak at today's City Council meeting by 2 pm today.

Last week, I wrote a blog post examining College Station’s proposed Restricted Occupancy Overlay. I have been mulling it over for some time now and it is my belief that the proposal would do …

College Station's Restricted Occupancy Overlay is going to be in the news a lot this week. In this post we do our best to describe what it is and whom it impacts the most.

If you have been following local politics here in Aggieland, you have probably heard about the proposed Restricted Occupancy Overlay (ROO) going before Planning Commission this Thursday, April 15th…

There's some exciting ideas being discussed in Austin, TX to use the proposed I-35 expansion project to reconnect the city! Please join us in signing a petition requesting that the Texas Department of Transportation consider these alternatives as they develop the scope and design of this project!

I am writing today in support of those working in my former hometown of Austin, TX to encourage the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to think differently about its plans to expand I-35 th…

Looking back at our first year as a small business, we are constantly asking the question “what is it for us to be successful?” While there are many definitions of success, our favorite is from the legendary basketball coach John Wooden who defined success as "peace of mind attained only through through self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you're capable."
