Ana and I were raised by some very powerful women. For one, our mothers. They moved countries to give their daughters a better future. They left behind their home, family, culture, and everything they knew because of the unconditional love they have for us. The same goes for our grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and the list goes on. We have seen them fight against the current that is machismo and thrive. We are surrounded by luchadoras that deserve to be celebrated.
Today is a celebration of the achievements of women around the world, so why not use it as a chance to recognize and thank the women in your life? Whether it’s your mother, sister, daughter, or friend, take the time to express your appreciation for the important women in your life.
