WHY leave mulch on the property?

Well here's the answer.

When we perform fire mitigation projects like this one in Manitou Springs, many homeowners choose to have the wood chips spread back onto the property. Mulch helps reduce erosion, retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, and return valuable organic matter to the soil, turning what would otherwise be waste into a valuable resource for long-term forest health.

The key is applying mulch properly. We focus on reducing hazardous fuels near structures while utilizing natural materials in a way that supports long-term forest health. Instead of hauling away every branch and needle, we're often able to recycle those nutrients right back into the natural landscape.
