New layers in our flock!
The chickens we got in February started laying two weeks ago. I’m not sure whether two or all three girls are laying - we have two wellsummers and a Rhode Island Red. I’m especially loving the speckled eggs! The two eggs at the top are from our older hens, for size comparison.

We have the first tomatoes of the season! It is Cherry Falls, a container variety that is growing in a planter on our deck. How are everyone else’s tomatoes doing?

Unfortunate news - yesterday morning we found the monarch caterpillar had hatched, but yesterday was extremely windy and when I checked later in the day, I couldn’t find it. I will keep checking in case it was knocked off and makes its way back to one of the milkweed plants, but I’m bummed since I was looking forward to watching it grow with the kids.
