🌿 A little restock + some exciting things coming! 🌿

We just did a light restock at The Plant Vault(Soon to be: RockyMtnExoticPlants), with some fresh plants hitting the shelves! 🪴✨

We’ll also be placing an overseas plant order soon, so now is the perfect time to send us your wish lists! 👀 If there’s a specific rare, unusual, or hard-to-find plant you’ve been hunting for, drop it in the comments or send us a message. We’ll see if we can track it down and add it to our upcoming order! 🌱

We’ll be bringing plenty of plants with us, including reptile-friendly options, and we’ll also have a few Hypo Zero Bearded Dragons available for adoption! 🐉🤍

And you don’t have to wait until the expo! If you’re interested in one of our Hypo Zeros, you’re always welcome to come by the shop or send us a message before the show.

Hey everyone! 💚

We wanted to give you all a little update since we’ve been pretty quiet on social media lately.

The past couple of weeks have honestly been incredibly difficult. Many of you know that one of our newest bearded dragons, Dandelion, has been battling some serious health issues. She’s had us making countless vet trips and has needed a lot of our time and attention. On top of that, I’ve also been dealing with some personal medical issues of my own, so it’s just been a rough couple of months all around.

If you’ve stopped by and we’ve been closed unexpectedly, or if we’ve missed any messages, I sincerely apologize. Thank you all for your patience and understanding—it truly means more than you know.

Starting today, our new store hours will be:
🪴 Thursday–Sunday
🕛 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

If those hours don’t work for you, we’re still happy to schedule appointments outside of those days whenever possible. Just send us a message!

We’re also getting ready for a big restock, so we’re trying to clear out some of our current inventory first. To help make room, we’re offering 20% OFF almost the entire store! Come by this weekend, find some new plants, and help us make space for everything that’s coming next.

If you’re already coming out to see the circus in the Citadel Mall parking lot, stop in and say hello while you’re here!

And finally… we have a pretty big announcement.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be transitioning away from The Plant Vault name and returning to our original roots as Rocky Mtn Exotic Plants.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but unfortunately there’s been ongoing confusion with another business using the Plant Vault name, and it’s caused a lot of issues for us—especially online. Rather than continue fighting that confusion, we’ve decided it’s time to move forward under the name we’ve always had from the beginning.

Nothing else is changing. You’ll still find the same people, the same plants, the same animals, and the same passion for what we do—just under a name that better represents who we’ve always been.

We also have some exciting new projects and changes in the works that we can’t wait to share with all of you, so stay tuned!

Thank you all for sticking with us through everything. Your support has meant the world to us, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next. 💚

Hey everyone,

We know we’ve been a little quiet lately, and I just wanted to take a moment to be honest with you all.

This past year has been one of the hardest years of my life. Between being displaced from my home, having to relocate many of my animals, dealing with insurance, repairs, stress, and trying to keep The Plant Vault going through it all… it has been overwhelming in ways I can’t fully put into words.

I also want to sincerely apologize if you’ve had an experience with us recently that wasn’t the best it could have been. I take ownership of that. I’m human, I’ve been struggling, and while that doesn’t excuse anything, I do hope it helps give a little more understanding of what has been going on behind the scenes.

Since this month is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, I also want to use this moment to say something important: please check in on your people. Even the strong ones. Even the ones who seem fine. You never truly know what someone is carrying behind closed doors. I’ve unfortunately lost people recently to su***de, and it has been a painful reminder of how important it is to reach out, be kind, and show up for one another.

I also want to be transparent about something. We are honestly doing a lot of soul-searching and rethinking when it comes to The Plant Vault and what our future looks like.

The reality is that support for small businesses has become increasingly difficult, and while we are doing everything we can to keep moving forward, we may not be able to continue operating exactly as we have been. We are exploring new ideas, making changes, and trying to find a path that allows us to continue doing what we love while still keeping the doors open.

This isn’t meant to be a guilt trip or a dramatic farewell post. It’s simply the truth. If you enjoy having us here, if you’ve enjoyed the plants, the animals, the community, or just having a unique local shop to visit, now is the time to support the businesses you want to keep around. Every purchase, every visit, every recommendation to a friend, and every positive review genuinely helps more than most people realize.

One of the directions we’ve been putting more energy into is the reptile side of things. Many of you know that reptiles have been a huge passion of mine for years, and we’ve been expanding our focus on our bearded dragon breeding program and other reptile-related projects. Plants and reptiles go hand-in-hand, and we’re working hard to create something unique that combines both of those passions.

If you’ve ever been interested in adding a bearded dragon to your family, please reach out. We currently have some absolutely beautiful dragons looking for amazing homes, and we’d love to help match you with the right one.

As a thank-you to everyone who continues to support us, we will be offering 10% off your entire purchase throughout the month of June.

We’ve also dealt with our fair share of unfair reviews, trolling, and negativity over the past year. If you’ve had a positive experience with us, we would be incredibly grateful if you’d leave us a Google review. Show us your review in-store and we’ll gladly honor that 10% discount as a thank-you for your support.

Most importantly, please remember to be kind. Life is hard right now for a lot of people. You never know what someone is carrying behind the scenes, whether it’s a friend, a family member, a coworker, or a small business owner trying their best to make it through another day.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us through the good times and the difficult ones. Your support means more than you know.

And if you have ideas, suggestions, or feedback about what you’d like to see from The Plant Vault moving forward, we’d genuinely love to hear them.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

Heads up everyone 💚

We will not be open today. I’m still pretty wiped out from the weekend and the shop honestly needs a full reset — watering, reorganizing, getting everything back in place.

That said, I will be at the shop most of the day cleaning. The gate will likely be closed, but if you happen to see me inside and really want to grab something or just stop by and chat, feel free to say hi — I’ll happily let you in 🙂

We’re planning to be back to regular hours by Thursday (or Friday at the latest).

Just a heads up as well:
• We’re going to be very low on stock this week
• No restock until we place our next import (likely in the next couple weeks)

If there’s anything specific you’ve been wanting, please message us so we can try to include it in the next order!

Also — enjoy some photos of our baby mantises that just hatched 🥹 They’re already putting in work helping keep our grow room nice and pest-free!

And seriously — thank you all so much for the support at the All-American Reptile & Plant Expo this past weekend. It means more than you know. I’m really excited to see you all again at the next one 💚

Appreciate you all 🙏

🚨 Big Weekend Announcement! 🚨

The Plant Vault will be at the All American Reptile and Plant Expo in Castle Rock this weekend — the largest reptile & plant expo in all of Colorado! 🌿🦎

If you love plants and/or reptiles… DO NOT miss this event. This show is always packed with incredible vendors, rare finds, and some of the coolest plants & animals you’ll ever see.

📅 Event Dates & Hours:
• Friday (VIP): 5 PM – 9 PM
• Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM
• Sunday: 10 AM – 4 PM

🌿 What to Expect From Us:
We’re going all in on unique and rare plants this weekend.

Expect a mix of rares, some cool variegated plants, and a lot of different stuff you don’t see every day 👀✨

Just a heads up — we’ll be leaving most of our basic/common plants behind for this show. The competition on regular foliage just isn’t worth it, so we’re focusing on bringing the more special stuff.

And of course… we’ll have our Colorado Constellation Pothos available in a wide variety of sizes 🌱✨

🐉 We will also be bringing a one-month-old hypo zero bearded dragon that we will be looking to adopt out. If you’re interested, definitely come talk to us — but please understand we will be very selective about who they go home with.

⚠️ Store Update for Today:
We are in full prep mode getting everything labeled, packed, and ready for the expo. Because of that, we may not be opening the shop today so we can stay focused and make sure everything is ready to go.

We appreciate your patience and understanding 🙏

We can’t wait to see you all there — come out, say hi, and support local! 🌱💚

‼️🚨‼️
As many of you know, the Colorado Constellation Pothos has been one of the most exciting and meaningful parts of my work—something I’ll always be proud of.

Recently, I’ve come across listings and claims online that are misrepresenting the origin of this plant, and I want to address that clearly.

The Colorado Constellation was discovered by me in Colorado in 2018. I have spent years growing, stabilizing, and sharing this plant. That history matters.

To be absolutely clear: Teruno did not discover this plant. They have only had access to it for a relatively short period of time after it was brought to them. Working with a plant is not the same as discovering it, and those are two very different things.

I’m not asking for royalties or trying to profit off of others. All I’ve ever wanted is for the name and the origin of this plant to remain accurate and honest. Trying to rewrite that story or remove where it came from is not okay, and it’s incredibly disrespectful—not just to me, but to the integrity of the plant community as a whole.

I’m glad to see the Colorado Constellation gaining attention and popularity—that part is amazing. But misinformation is not.

If you see listings or posts that are incorrectly stating its origin, I would truly appreciate you helping correct that. Not everything you see online is accurate, and this is one of those cases.

I have asked for corrections to be made, and if necessary, I am prepared to take further steps(legal action) to protect the truth behind this plant.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and continues to stand behind the real story. It means more than you know. 🫶
