Unfortunately, we made this same PSA 2 years ago yesterday, so we will just repost it again. We had 2 "catastrophe teams" call our office yesterday and one of our employees had 5 individuals either stop by or call their house.

A quick public service announcement with regards to the hail storms from 8/5/2020:

If your property has received hail damage, or you think you have, call your insurance carrier or a LOCAL contractor for an inspection. Storm chasers are out in full force, cold calling, coming in from outside of El Paso County and even from out of state. If they are not licensed in El Paso County, don't hire them. If they don't have current insurance, don't hire them. If they call you and say they are "in the neighborhood" ask them if they are licensed in this region. READ ALL THE FINE PRINT and do not pay in full on any contract up front. If they ask you to pull a permit with an excuse that "it makes it easier to get the work done", don't hire them.

You can check any contractor, general contractor or roofing contractor at www.PPRBD.org under the contractors tab and then "search contractor" If they don't show up on that list, don't hire them. Please be safe with your construction project needs.
