Graduation season is here! Graduation plaques give me the opportunity to use some really stunning acrylics. For these, I used mirrored acrylic in the school's color. The engraved text really pops against the mirrored colors. Personalized text is engraved into the walnut base and then finished in Danish oil to deepen the wood tone.

A good friend reached out to see if I could make something to commemorate her daughter-in-law's graduation from cosmetology school. I used a combination of maple, walnut, and black acrylic to create a piece that celebrates her accomplishment. Congrats to all the graduates out there!

Starting the week with a new project. These are layered letters are made with red oak, walnut, cherry, maple, and walnut-stained birch. These will be ready for glue-up later today. Can't wait to finish these and add them to the shop.

Working on a couple of pieces for a new teacher. Loving the colorful pallet! A bit more painting then it'll be ready for the final glue-up.

A pair of house finches have set up a nest on the back deck. I've been listening to them singing as I finished up this set of bird earrings. Seems like perfect timing. 😉

Made of laser-cut walnut with sterling silver ear wires. These are lightweight and comfy to wear.

Well, I had planned to work on product photos today. The supervisor had other plans. Guess he feels the lights and setup were meant exclusively for him. So, yeah, we had a kitty photo shoot. 🤨 How's your day going?

We recently completed this beautiful anniversary sign. The white acrylic really pops against the java-stained birch. I so enjoyed working with the client to bring this to life! 😍
