Summerland Gardens is a unique plant boutique filled with exotic plants for home and garden since 2005. Tucked away in the south part of town, we offer houseplants, outdoor flowering annuals and perennials, herb and veggie starts, pottery and all the things you need to grow healthy and happy plants. We offer experience, knowledge and a friendly staff that can answer your questions or help you select the right plants for the right spot.

Kit Kat is just hanging around waiting for the whole “labor” part of Labor Day to be over, but in all honesty, I don’t think he ever started any labor in the first place. 😽💤

His schedule has been quite lax today and has been full of napping, jumping on top of tables that he isn’t supposed to, and begging for treats. 🙀❤️Thankfully we’re closing at 3 pm today so he can finally rest and recharge for another week of being the world’s cutest shop cat. 🫶🏼

Come say hi and try to catch him before 3 and he tucks himself away for his 15th nap of the day. Happy Kit Kat Monday! 🌿

Tomorrow is the big day for all of you green chile lovers! 🌶️💚

It’s our 3rd Annual Green Chile Kickoff and we are roasting like crazy! 🔥 We will have 1 lb and 2 lb bags ready to grab and go in addition to full and half bushels roasted to order. Our roasters will be fired up, the smell will tickle your senses, and your freezer is about to be stocked! 🙌🏼

Nothing says fall better than a hardy mum. 🍁 Keep them on your patio for instant color and as a beacon for cooler weather ahead. HUGE African violet restock alert! 🚨🌸

We just got in a shipment of stunning African violets. 😱 We have a bunch of new varieties that we have been unable to get before. From variegated leaves to ruffled flower edges, we have all kinds of vibrant colors, textures, and blooms!💫We even brought in some true miniature African violets where the leaves stay tiny and petite even as the plant grows! 🤯

It’s Marmalade Monday AND we’re nearing green chile season! 🙀🌶️

This is Marmalade’s first chile season with us, but don’t worry, Cleo has taken the initiative to train Marmalade on all things green chile related. 🫡 She will be on manager duty and busy “supervising”. Supervising you order chiles, supervising you pay for chiles, and supervising you carry them to the car. 😽 She wants to clarify though that “supervising” does not mean “helping” and her union protects her from any write ups from higher ups. 🫶🏼

Happy Marmalade Monday! She will be supervising until 5:30 today. ✨

Dear Marley, thank you for giving us 20 years with you. Thank you for every laugh, every smile, and every moment where you made us slow down and enjoy it. And thank you, everyone, for loving Marley as much as we did. ❤️

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have to make this announcement. We unfortunately had to make the incredibly tough decision to say goodbye to our sweet boy. He ended his days peacefully at Summerland Gardens surrounded by those who loved him. There were lots of funny stories told about the past, cat hugs given, and more tears cried than any of us knew we had in us. The shop will not be the same without him.

Marley came to us 20 years ago as a stray and made his home at Summerland Gardens. Over the years he has made an impact on every single employee and customer who has stepped foot in our shop.

We ask that people respect our grieving process and understand if we’re not quite ready to talk about it. Thank you guys for your understanding.

Rest easy, Cowboy. We love you so much and will miss you forever. Say hi to Waldo for us ❤️
