TEKServ NEWS 7/31/2023: New service rates.
Much like any professional industry ours has many levels of competency in the field of technology, Security, and fire alarm systems. As such we are adjusting Service rates based upon competency. Standard service technician rates will continue to be $100.00/hour billed at $200.00 for the initial visit and $100.00/hour additional or return trip hours. Bill Cole is a Master Technician Level V with 35 years of experience. The advanced service rates are as follows. Technician Level III 10 Years of Experience $150.00/Hour, Technician Level IV 20 Years Experience $200.00, and Master Technician Level V 30+ Years experience $300.00/hour. Technician Level 4 & 5 are assigned and invoiced for those accelerated services when there is a degree of difficulty requiring that experience level. If a technician Level 3-5 are sent to your facility to replace a battery or do basic technician operations the rate falls back to the default normal service rates. Upper level technicians are available for remote travel at an agreed to rate anywhere in the continental United States for Electronics, Security, and Fire Alarm troubleshooting. The rates above apply for over the phone technical support billed in 15 minute increments.

Holiday Hours
Though we are a 24/7 emergency response business our offices are closed for Thanksgiving and the day after thanksgiving as well as the Monday following Christmas. Please don't hold our service requests though. Someone will answer your call and it doesn't cost money to place a call to us. We are available 24/7 to meet your needs. If you get a voice mail please leave a message and a technician will return your call promptly.

TEKtalk 8/3/2022 NEW SERVICE: Monthly Required elevator two way voice testing.
We listen to you. At the request of our customers we now have implemented an elevator monthly two way voice inspection as required by the Elevator Code. During this inspection we also will be performing the required quarterly Fire Service Testing. Documentation will be left onsite for review by the Regional Building Department or state of Colorado Elevator inspectors. A website for this will be coming soon focusing on all services provided for elevators and elevator landing communication systems.

TEKserv now fully operational back at normal staff and normal capacity and in the office full time as of today. The work at home triage phone system has been turned off and replaced with the normal emergency service system. If you reach the phone emergency service system it is because someone is on the phone and can’t answer, or it is after business hours.

TEKtalk: 9/28/2020 Now Providing Internet Service

We are pleased to announce that our TEKserv Digital Telecom division now provides internet service as part of our communications platform. We have partnered with IOT provider US Mobile to bring dual sim technology with twice the internet speed of the readily available 4G LTE Networks. We anticipate the final completion of equipment and router testing by the end of next month at which time we will publish our pricing structure. This pricing will follow the same theme we use with our voice service where we provide analog service with no fees, taxes, or surcharges.

Service Response Changes
The message from Krista below with response to COVID19 has changed. As of today March 25, 2020 4:30 P.M. Governor Polis has issued a statewide stay at home order until April 11. In compliance with this order all routine and urgent service calls have been postponed. We are available for Emergency service calls only. The beginning of the week our staff was quickly converted to work from home. You will be able to reach us through our regular main line (719) 573-4808 or via email. We have full access to resources we normally would if at the office.

WE ARE OPEN! 3/23/2020
We are an emergency response business. This means we make response 24/7 via telephone or if needed in person. Our operations manager is putting together a proactive safety plan for physical interactions on job sites and service calls. We are currently transitioning our administrative staff to “work at home” as recommended by the Federal Government. There will be some issues as we do this over the next few days. If you sent an email to our office on Monday March 23, 2020 there is a likelihood that it did not reach us as I made changes to our DNS. Please resend that email or give us a call. You will still reach a live person during this transition.

TEKtalk 2/1/2019 Another new telephone line install for our TEKserv Digital Telecom division
Many people are tired of dealing with the local telephone company and the cost of phone lines. TEKserv Digital Telecom provides phone service and monitoring to Fire Alarm Panels, Security systems, Elevator Phones. and Elevator Landing communication systems. With our phone service there are no additional fees, taxes, surcharges or other unidentifiable charges. The pictures below are a recent install where we replaced the old broken elevator phone with a shiny new red call box, and phone service. We mounted the service terminal in the basement middle elevator landing wall adjacent to the elevator machine room for optimal performance. The connection as always was crystal clear.
