Ooops, I hate when that happens.

This weekend grills will be in full use! We remind everyone to make sure you have the proper distance between your grill and house. Also, if using a charcoal grill, dispose of the charcoal properly. Do not place in a bag in or near you house. Best advice keep at least 10 feet between grill/hot coals and your house. Have a great weekend and take a moment to honor the men and women of our armed forces that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Design and Development Specialist

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be a KHI Employee on site
o Appreciate and take advantage of our flexibility for personal-life events
o Work efficiently, effectively, ethically, and honestly while “on-the-clock”
o Encourage God’s continued favor and blessing of the KHI-family with “above-reproach” work behavior and practices
• Be a KHI Advocate:
o Understand the “heart and flavor” of KHI as a family-owned and operated Christian business
o Please our client, assure them, and meet their needs and desires to the best of your ability
o Support and subscribe to KHI’s Mission Statement: “Krafted Homes is a family owned and operated construction company; built on a foundation of Christ-like morals and values”
• General duties/qualifications:
o Grasp, retain, and express SOW details for each project verbally and in writing
o Document (photos, notes, drawings, etc) job walk-thrus, brainstorming, and discussions
o Generate hand-drawn and/or CAD drawings and designs
o Create detailed SOW documentation for client as well as KHI understanding
o Determine materials, tasks, tools, and manpower needed to complete SOW efforts
o Generate, process, comprehend, verify, and track vendor & sub RFQs from SOW documents, drawings, discussions, and/or walk-thrus
o Determine and assign detailed cost estimates to SOW efforts
o Determine, create, document, and implement Change Orders to the field
o Support field operations with RFI documentation, information, and clarifications
o Meet at least weekly with Sales and Operations to maintain project efficiency and communication
o Effectively work in a team environment
o Contribute to the KHI team effort as directed and/or needed
o Perform a variety of duties as assigned from time to time.
• Necessary skillset:
o Strong attention to detail
o Strong problem-solving abilities
o Forward-thinking mindset
o Embrace change and thrive with a variety of work projects/environments
o Effectively problem-solve and communicate solutions
o Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in all work efforts
o Construction estimating
o Excel spreadsheet proficiency
o Design/drafting proficiency
• Minimum Qualifications:
o High school diploma or equivalent
o 5-years minimum building experience and exposure
o Clean record
o Verbal communication skills
o Written communication skills
o Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office
o Strong knowledge of construction processes and building science
o Drafting ability
• Working Conditions:
o This position primarily operates In KHI’s
office with some onsite and client interaction
