Local deck and shade structure contractor has an immediate opening for a carpenter position in Colorado Springs, CO area.

We are looking to add to our team an individual that has at least 2 years of framing and/or finish carpentry experience. Familiarity with light gauge steel frame is helpful. Must have basic carpentry tools. Must be able to lift heavy
objects (up to 80 lbs.).

Requisite qualities:

High motivation for building, self-motivated. and goal driven.
Enjoy interacting and meeting new people, creative yet logical problem solver, detail oriented.
You will need to have your own reliable transportation. Must have clean driving record.
Background check required.
Main job responsibility will be to assist one of our building crews constructing decks and shade structures for residential clients.
Work includes, but is not limited to:

Demolition of old decks and shade structures.
Layout and dig footings. Pour concrete footings and landings.
Framing light gauge steel decks, aluminum pergolas, and wood roof covers.
Installing composite decking, steel and composite rails.
Installing exterior trims on decks and shade covers.
Help remove and haul construction debris during and after job completion.
