Marigolds Are Here! 🌼

Looking for a flower that works as hard as it blooms? Marigolds are one of the easiest annuals to grow and they're packed with benefits!

Bright, cheerful color all summer long. Attract pollinators like bees and butterflies. Great companions for vegetable gardens. Tolerate heat and sunshine like champions

Plant them now and enjoy months of vibrant blooms through summer and into fall. Plus, many gardeners swear by marigolds near tomatoes, peppers, and other veggies to help create a healthier garden ecosystem.

Stop by and pick up a few (or a tray!) while selection is at its best. Your garden and your pollinators will thank you. 🌼🐝🦋

Tomato season is officially ON at Phelan Gardens 🍅☀️

Big slicers, sweet cherries, patio tomatoes, heirlooms, sauce tomatoes and more! We’ve got rows and rows ready for Colorado gardens. But remember, don’t rush them straight into the ground just yet! Tomatoes like warm nights, warm soil, and a little time to harden off before living outside full time.

Need help choosing the right variety? Our team is always happy to help you pick the perfect tomato for salsa, sandwiches, snacking, or sauces.

Come grow something delicious with us. 🌱🍅

Thanks so much for sharing, Governor Jared Polis!

As we face another dry season, one of the best things Coloradans can do is plant for the place we call home. That means choosing Colorado native plants, drought-tolerant flowers, and water-wise landscaping that can handle our heat, support pollinators, and keep our yards beautiful without wasting one of our most precious resources: water.

Colorado is also taking action statewide. I activated the state’s Drought Task Force and Phase 2 of Colorado’s Drought Response Plan to help track conditions, support communities, and coordinate resources where they are needed most. Whether it’s a backyard garden, a schoolyard, a park, or a neighborhood median, every water-wise choice adds up. By planting native, watering wisely, and planning ahead, we can protect Colorado’s water, support our farmers and ranchers, and keep our state beautiful for generations to come.

Colorado grows best when we grow wisely.🌱💧

The sunshine is sticking around (we hope 😅), and planting season is officially ON in Colorado Springs.

Annuals, herbs, veggies, hanging baskets, pollinator plants, trees, shrubs… it’s all looking GOOD right now.

Just remember: harden off those tender plants before leaving them outside full-time! A few hours outside at first helps prevent shock, sunburn, and cold damage.

Come spend some time at the gardens this week 🌱
