BEFORE AND AFTER - It's been 25 years since the design and major renovation of my mom's cottage, built around 1940, overlooking the Columbia River in Oregon and Mt. Ranier in Washington. The new living spaces and many windows were oriented to hide the view of another home directly in line with the river and take in the mountains, river and beautiful gardens.

It's Friday Fun Day at Cory Smith Architecture! Highlighting a Pool House addition to our clients' existing home, also designed and built by Cory Smith Architecture and Aspen Creek Partners in 2008. The new structure, adjacent to the original home site, includes 375 sf of interior/dressing/storage space and another 325 sf of open, covered porch, highlighted by the 40' pool by Barrington Pools.

Shake shingle siding, tapered base with crown molding, round tapered columns and decorative brackets under the extra wide soffits complement the details of the original house and looks as if it's always been a part of the overall design.

It's a great weekend for entertaining friends and family in a beautiful outdoor space! Have fun and be safe, everyone!
