Prima Construction is a women owned and operated residential remodeling company with over twenty years of experience remodeling homes. Our founder started remodeling homes after getting degrees in architecture and discovering a joy in helping people refinish and update their older spaces to something they love. We focus on being honest, fair in pricing and communicating openly along the way so you are happy with the final products.

We love preserving the character of older homes—like this moody St. Paul bathroom with its original restored clawfoot tub. But we believe you shouldn't have to sacrifice modern comfort for historic charm.

Bold Color in a Sea of White. 🎨
Most of the time, our job involves making a space feel larger and lighter with neutrals. But for this project in Roseville, the homeowner wanted energy.
As a professional graphic designer, they didn't want "close enough." We went through multiple rounds of custom color matching to nail this specific "Coca-Cola Red" finish.
But the real challenge wasn't the color—it was the layout. With 7 windows and 3 doorways, the kitchen was basically a hallway. We created a peninsula "cockpit" to give the cook a secluded zone without closing off the room.

After 4 consecutive years of winning the Guildmaster Award for Service Excellence, we made the tough decision to pause operations in 2025. We took the year to travel, recharge, and find new design inspiration.

How do you fit a modern, luxury bathroom into a 1908 St. Paul home... when the original layout violates modern code? 🤔

This project was a masterclass in problem-solving! We navigated code challenges, protected the home's historic charm, and even kept the project on schedule during the St. Paul cyber-attack.
