Look at this cute little fella that flew into Filo’s (our foreman’s) hand on a cold day while on a jobsite in south Columbia. He warmed up for a moment, then flew off.

This Golden Crowned Kinglet is one of the smallest perching birds in North America and is not much larger than a Hummingbird.
They live in dense coniferous forests - spruce, fir, and hemlock, and migrate North in the Spring. According to Audubon’s Guide to North American Birds, logging, forest fires and climate change are affecting their habitat.

Save Bird Habitat and let Mill Creek plant a tree for you!
