Have you flushed your water heater in the last year? It's recommended to flush it and check the anode rod annually, and replace it every three years. Flushing your tank help prevent calcium and other minerals from building up and causing corrosion on the tank bottom. Regular flushing will help prolong the tank's lifespan. The anode rod is a sacrificial metal rod that draws corrosion away from the tank to extend its life.
