Vanity Recipe #11: Calacatta Grande, Again

🛁 Calacatta Grande again. Different homeowners, different houses, same pick. We're starting to take the hint.

This time it's a single-sink vanity in Vienna (WV), with white cabinets and marble-look quartz on top. Quartz doesn't mind splashes, toothpaste, or humidity, which makes it an easy call for a bathroom. And with just one sink, the stone gets plenty of open space to show off.

If you're planning a white bathroom, come see this slab in person at our showroom. Photos don't quite do it justice.

Kitchen Recipe #10: Bright White, Warm Floor

🤍 White cabinets, white walls, a big island, and Calacatta Grande quartz on top. Our Recipe #10 kitchen in Thornville, Ohio is about as bright as a kitchen gets.

All white can feel a little flat without something to warm it up, and the wood floor does that job here. It's the only color in the room, and it keeps all that white looking fresh instead of cold.

If you're planning a white kitchen, give the floor as much thought as the counters. 🪵

Kitchen Recipe #9: Cabin Dark

🪵 Recipe #9 takes us to Vincent, OH, and into a full log home. Wood walls, wood cabinets, warm brown everywhere you look.

Then you add Black Pearl granite. Deep black, with tiny flecks that catch the light as you move around the kitchen. Against all that wood, it feels a little mysterious, like the cabin has a secret.

Fair warning, the photo isn't our sharpest. We got caught up in the install and wish we'd grabbed better shots of this one, because it deserved them. Most people think a wood kitchen needs a light countertop to balance it out. This one goes the other way, and it works.

Kitchen Recipe #8: The Classic Everyone Asks For

🏡 Recipe #8, and this one's the showroom favorite — Taj Mahal quartzite, the most requested quartzite we've got, installed in a Lucasville, OH kitchen.

It's easy to see why. Soft ivory background, warm gold veining running through it like it was painted on — it gives you that marble look homeowners love, minus the babying marble actually needs. It's the kind of stone that works whether your kitchen leans modern, traditional, or somewhere in between, which is probably the real reason it's stayed popular this long.

Some things earn the hype. This is one of them.
