First exterior transformation of the season! Leading up to this project, the homeowners had a new roof and garage door installed. This guided us to selecting a brown for the trim. Narrowed it down the perfect match, Rookwood Dark Brown.
Next up, stucco color, customers had a vision for a green on their stucco and I was happy to hear that. In my mind I am thinking a green/gray or green/beige. (Which will read more green than one would think once applied to an exterior). Green will complement the rust tones in the brick. *Side note, it is imperative to know that colors look 6x brighter when outside, therefore, I had to steer them away from the greens they had in mind. After ruling out several because they were too bright, we landed on the historic Sheraton Sage and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
The warmth and the depth of this green is a perfect pairing with the brown for an overall cohesive & consistent curb appeal! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Check out this gorgeous before and after of a dining room makeover I assisted with recently. The original idea was for a simple accent wall in this space. However, because of the angles, no one wall would have worked. Painting the whole room was the only way!

The right paint color can completely change the vibe of your home, making it feel fresh and inviting. Imagine those cozy dinners with friends and family in this beautifully updated space!

Another stunner finished by Sids Stucco & Painting. The homeowners were headed towards choosing the same beige color for their home until I introduced a subtle gray green to complement their stone. Very pleased how it turned out! Stucco is SW Hardware, trim is SW Shiitake & Iron Ore on the front door. 🤩

Is your new build or renovation at risk of becoming tomorrow’s dated trend?

While black finishes are dominating the design world right now, making thoughtful choices can help your home maintain its value and style for years to come.

Here’s what savvy homeowners need to know:

It’s new build season and the biggest mistake everyone will make going forward is letting their builder or contractor install black hardware, plumbing fixtures, windows, mirrors, lighting, the list goes on.

Because if you don’t specify otherwise this is what you will get by default 😬

1. Install a millwork hood fan over a black metal one (metal works best in a modern kitchen)

2. If you’re going to make one hardware choice for everything, choose a k**b over a pull. Every. Time.

3. A marble or marble look porcelain tile in 12 x 12, 18 x 18 or 24 x 24 (aka SQUARE) is also better in a traditional house (which most people have) and will be timeless 🙌🏻

4. A square fireplace insert is best for a traditional house (only install a linear fireplace if your home is considered modern)
