Curved furniture can be a pain to sand...unless you have the right setup. 🙌

I used my random orbital sander and a flexible foam pad to follow all those curves without flattening the details.

Comment "PAD" and I'll send you the one I use.

This doesn't work 100% of the time, but I always try it first.

When it works, it can save hours of sanding and make quick work of old finishes. 🙌

Here's the sanding hack I wish I'd found sooner 🙌
These detail sanding blocks can be used by hand or attached to a mouse sander, making it so much easier to sand spindles, trim, grooves, and other hard-to-reach areas.

Comment "LINK" and I'll send you the details.

If orange wood isn't your thing, you don't have to paint it.

A simple paint wash can soften those warm orange tones while still letting the wood grain shine through. 🤎

I was mentally prepared for a full day of stripping paint.

Turns out, the previous owner did me a solid 😂

Now I have to find a new excuse to avoid my other projects.

Sometimes you have to look past the paint to see what's really there.
This piece took a little patience, but uncovering that mahogany grain made every step worth it 😍

Would you have stripped it or painted over it?

Most people saw a water-damaged dresser headed for the trash. I saw potential.
A little creativity, a few repairs, and some elbow grease later...I'd say she cleaned up pretty well 😍

Would you have stopped for this one?

Tiny cracks don’t always need expensive products or complicated repairs.

I used wood glue + sanding dust to fill this hairline crack, then blended everything together with a brown paint wash instead of a traditional dark stain. Simple fixes like this can completely change a piece.

Cherry veneer + aggressive sanding = a recipe for regret

Instead, I used stripper to safely remove the chalk paint and reveal the wood grain underneath without damaging the veneer. SUCH a satisfying transformation.

Comment “strip” for the products I used.

I stripped the old finish, cleaned away the residue, lightly sanded, and used a simple paintwash technique to soften the orange tones while still letting the wood grain shine through.

Comment “WASH” and I’ll send you my free guide on how I achieved this look 🤍
