Now that fake spring is officially gone outside, I’m thinking back to these beautiful curtains to remind me REAL spring will be here soon. These curtains are Italian strung with a mitered silk banding and luxuriously lined with a final layer of ticking stripe that just barely peaks out from the back. Dressed over motorized dupioni silk roman shades and hung from custom painted rods. I only wish I was there when the bed arrived for this dreamy bedroom. (I may not have left!)

Custom work means the client gets exactly what they want. My client had years old once beautiful silk drapery, some with severe sun damage but wanted them replaced “exactly” the same way. They were extremely well made originally with beautiful dupioni silk and luxe linings. I was able to track down an almost perfect color match to the undamaged drapery and recreated the original style just as she wanted. Unique clients have unique style and I really just wanted to plop on the sofa in her beautifully curated European home when completed! She was so happy with her new drapery that she hugged me after the install. 💕
