Our plaster ceiling was crumbling due to severe deterioration and was simply falling apart. We loved the original vibe, so the goal was to fix the structure and keep the style.
The first step was the satisfying but messy demolition! Goodbye to the old lath and plaster-that was some serious dirty work getting it down to the studs!
Getting the new drywall hung, mudding the seams, and applying a clean, fresh coat of ceiling paint instantly brought the room back to life. For the walls, we stuck with the beautiful original color for a perfect color refresh.
After all the construction abuse, it feels so good to have this old house back in shape and finally furnished. Check out the complete before and after!
