Great design deserves to be shared. At the 2024 AIA Ohio Design Conference, our team contributed valuable insights on transforming ordinary buildings into extraordinary spaces. Through the lens of sustainability and design innovation, Natalia, Kai, and Phil demonstrated how adaptive reuse can create unique solutions for our communities. We asked them about their experience sharing at the conference, here's what they had to say:
“It was an honor to share practical advice with colleagues: how WSA practices architecture with a commitment to our clients, the built environment, and our community.” - Natalia Lebedin, AIA
"It's helpful to occasionally take time out of the normal routine to reflect on your own work and the work of those around you, in order to define and contextualize what makes it good. When you share your work with others who follow a similar routine, being required to articulate what the good qualities are helps you refine and invest those qualities in your future work." Kai Raab, AIA
"Engaging with industry peers to exchange ideas, explore new concepts, and reflect on both the challenges and successes of our projects is essential to a thriving profession. I’m grateful to have been part of such an important conversation on adapting buildings for new purposes." - Phil Riazzi, AIA
