This is what a remodel looks like before it looks fabulous.

Open walls, exposed framing, dust, and materials everywhere.

It might not be the pretty part, but it's where so much of the important work happens. Trust the process. We do. 👊

A remodel comes with a lot of decisions, and working with a designer cuts that load in half.

We sat down with Jessica of and she breaks down exactly how having a designer in your corner helps you land on the right choices faster and with a lot more confidence.

It helps even more when the designer and contractor have already built trust with each other, because that relationship keeps the project moving and takes the heavy lifting off your plate completely.

You just show up to a space you love.

Little peek of the progress happening at Red Oak Community School in Clintonville: the posts are IN and the foundational shape of the treehouse is taking shape.

What a collaboration partnering with to make sure every detail comes out the way they imagined it. More to come…

The summer we did a little bit of everything 🙌

We built our first outdoor pavilion, broke ground on a treehouse at , sat on a panel with our peers, volunteered at the Festival, showed up at the , collaborated with some really great design friends, spent time with family, and somewhere in between all of that, we believed in ourselves a little more.

Good summer and grateful for all of it!

This is one of the most important things we have on a job site…the BINDER!

Every design selection, every build detail, every decision made along the way lives in here. The team references it, we reference and update it, making it easier for everyone to stay on the same page and catch issues early.

This is what a real contractor and designer partnership looks like behind the scenes, and it's one of the ways we love to collaborate with talented designers like !

Honestly, being your own general contractor IS doable...for some but not most! If you're like the majority of homeowners with full time jobs, families, and the rest of your life to manage and plan for, then pulling in the right subject matter experts instead of creating a totally new job for yourself is the way to go. One of the best things about our job is helping people see the impossible as possible when it comes to loving their homes to the fullest.

Got a 2027 or 2028 remodel in mind? We'd love to chat and break down the process for you!

This one is a little different and we love it for that 🙌

Recently broke ground to start building a long awaited "treehouse" for the Red Oak Community School in Clintonville. What makes this extra special is that the design came from the students themselves. 🌳

Now, we get to help turn their ideas into something they’ll actually be able to climb, explore, and enjoy, alongside Bradley and Benjamin at . Construction is officially underway so stay tuned for progress updates!

Big thank you to Lisa Federico at , who thought to connect us to the school and the rest was history 🙏

Bathrooms are small rooms with a lot of opinions.

Plumbing, venting, electrical, waterproofing, and tile all fighting for the same forty square feet. There's no hiding a sloppy detail in a room you stand three feet from every day.

Which is why the boring stuff matters most. The pan slope. The blocking. The elevation of the vanity wall before a single fixture is installed,

Big or small, gut or refresh, it's the same standard. Watch what we've been up to. 🚿

There may have been 99 problems, but the client felt none. This is exactly why we like working closely with a trusted designer throughout a project. Two sets of eyes, two different areas of expertise but a shared goal, and a lot of conversations about the little details that avoid mistakes and delays ahead of time.

This day at our Dublin en-suite bathroom re-do, one of the new vanity mirrors came shattered so both had to be returned and a new order (and new lead time) placed, and one of the flush mount lights revealed questions we didn't know we had until closer inspection with 👏.

Good remodeling takes a team. And a whole lot of communication behind the scenes.

Do we care that we’re posting our August recap halfway through September? NOPE! Just a little fashionably late ☺️.

The month had a little bit of everything and quite a swirl. Site visits, client meetings, and kicking off new projects. We also hit the NARI Home Tour by and the Q3 luncheon…always good to be in the room with great people.

And then the personal stuff…birthday celebrations, family visits, a trip to Atlanta, the Ohio State Fair, and somehow a whole session dedicated to bougie clear ice cubes. No complaints 🤗
