Some vintage pieces are definitely not meant to blend in. 🐘

This vintage brass elephant stands about 8.5” tall and has such a great presence — from the raised trunk to the detailed saddle and beautifully aged brass finish.

I love pieces like this because they instantly add character to a bookshelf, mantel, console table or collected brass display.

Sometimes the best vintage pieces are the ones you use completely differently than intended.

This little Vollrath stainless steel serving pot started life as commercial restaurant or hospitality ware, but I couldn’t resist filling it with a few fresh flowers.

The hinged lid, tiny curved spout and well-loved stainless finish give it so much character — and at only 3” tall, it makes the sweetest little bud vase for a kitchen shelf, windowsill or table.

I gave an old tea towel a new life.

I found this sweet piece of vintage embroidered tea towel and thought the handwork was just too pretty to stay tucked away in a drawer.

So I salvaged the embroidered section and paired it with a vintage wood frame — and now it’s a one-of-a-kind little piece of textile art.

I love being able to reuse pieces of the past in a completely new way.

It’s now available in my Etsy shop, but I’m curious…

I’ve been giving these authentic vintage sign letters, numbers & symbols a new life by mounting them on pieces of reclaimed and salvaged wood — and I LOVE how each one turned out.

Every scratch, chip, worn edge and bit of patina was left just as I found it. No two are alike.

If you love vintage, The Vermilion Beach Market needs to be on your list!

I spent the day wandering through booth after booth filled with vintage, antiques, home decor and so many one-of-a-kind finds. This is definitely my kind of shopping!

So many great vendors and beautifully styled spaces — I could have brought home WAY more than I did.

Vintage lovers — add this one to your list!

I stopped into A Step Back in Time in Chillicothe, Ohio and found the cutest little vintage shop filled with so many great pieces — and the prices were incredible!

This is exactly the kind of place I love finding… charming, affordable and full of treasures you actually want to take home. ❤️

They also have another location in Waverly with 32 vendors, so obviously that one is going on my list too!

I’ll definitely be back to the Chillicothe shop.

I wasn’t expecting it to be this much fun. It’s three floors packed with vintage treasures, antiques, and collectibles—and there’s so much more than shopping.

🎮 Working vintage arcade games and pinball machines (perfect if someone in your group isn’t as excited about antiques 😉)
