The Garden Gallery ~ I have a small greenhouse that I grow perennials and roses to sell to local businesses. This page is all about gardening, floral photography, and some of my other passions here in the north east corner of Washington .I have another page ~ Northwest Gallery ~ dedicated more towards my outings here in our area where I share my photos of wildlife and our beautiful surroundin

gs. Here's the link to that blog : https://www.facebook.com/northwestgallery?fref=ts
Sometimes, these 2 pages overlap and I share photos back and forth...it's all about God's creations and nature at it's best.

Oh! The lilacs! They are just about done now but I still go to the bush looking for one more sprig of heaven. 💜
We are having unusual weather with warm days, cold windy days and we actually had a little frost on the roof yesterday morning. I still have my flower starts in the greenhouse.
Along with lilacs, I have allium getting ready to bloom, columbine volunteers blooming everywhere, bleeding hearts and the lily of the valley's fragrance is scenting the back patio.

Welcome MAY ❤️💜🩷
Warmer temps are here! Still chilly enough at night to leave light frost on the roof though. Due to drought conditions the past couple of years and little snow pack, it won't be long before I need to start dragging the hose around the yard to hydrate my flower beds. It used to be that it was wet enough with spring rains and wetter winters that I didn't have to be concerned with watering now. It's almost LILAC time! One of my favorite flowers.
Double tulips, parrot tulips and peony tulips. ❤️🩷🧡

We're in cold country and our property is at a little higher elevation up here on the flat. My gardens bloom a couple of weeks behind those in town only 5 miles away. We experienced one of the hardest frosts so far about a week ago. Tulips, peony foliage and daffodils were face down encrusted in ice. I was so bummed! But as the sun rose and melted the heavy frost, the plants raised their buds and foliage and acted like nothing ever happened.
I've included a few images of the frosted plants and then the bouquet I picked just a week later. Also included are some spring birds and Toby.

Happy for some warmer days. Warm, for us, is in the 60s. I do a little spring cleaning indoors and then a few hours out weeding in my flower beds. Certain areas are over grown with weeds. As I sit and work my way around emerging bulbs and perennials, the garden manager sits by and observes my work. ☺️😸 He likes to hang out near the catmint. 🧡

Rain. No snow. I've never seen a winter like this. I will add more real time images soon. But for now, I'll share a few pictures from past spring gardens.
