Ladner Custom Millwork is just about done manufacturing stringers for our Missouri project. Both sets of stairs for this project come with the connected radius header piece. These pieces will define the stair well opening.

Ladner Custom Millwork designed this stair with the connected header pieces because there was limited way for the opening to end up with the proper radius, and support the stair. This is were it is important for one company to handle everything from design to manufacturing, to in this case installation.

Ladner Custom Millwork is currently working on a twin set of curved stairs. They will be heading to Missouri in the coming days.

The forms for the stairs require a fair amount of time to get set up to accurately manufacture the stringers.

LCM does utilize 3D modeling and rendering to help customers visualize what their finished project will look like. This helps ensure that the finish product matches what they were hoping to end up with.

This visualization is critical whether the project is 20 minutes up the road or several hundred miles away.

Even the black lab wanted to get in on the preparation on of the stair forms.

Not everyday does Ladner Custom Millwork have to use the 5" cut capacity of our table saw. With our most recent timber stair project for SummitRidge Custom Homes we had to do just that to cut the treads to length.

When working with timbers it is important to have to right tools for the job. This Holtz 16" sliding table saw makes light work of cutting 32 treads to the exact length. Once they were cut to length we were able to cut the tenon into the ends using our Skil Router and some custom made templates that were designed to accurately ensure that the tenon was in the correct location.

The skills used on this timber stair project comes from years of experience working with large timbers and also understanding the unique challenges that they present.

One of the next projects up is two sets of custom curved stairs. While they are 2D CAD files right now, in the coming days these stairs will start coming into shape.

Ladner Custom Millwork does all of our drafting and design work in house. This allows for quality control. We start every project off by doing a site visit to take our own dimensions (sometimes two trips). Using these dimensions we take the desired designs and turn them into something that can be used to develop the finished product.

Distance is not really a factor for LCM. We are willing to travel from Aspen, Colorado to Castle Pines, Colorado we cover anywhere. Even out of state, we are willing to travel to take care of your projects.

These custom stairs will be heading to there home 750 miles from our shop in Bolivar, Missouri in the coming weeks.

Fully finished the Bailey, Colorado Project. With the addition of some custom blacked out maple newel caps, and filling some holes this project is all ready to be stained and finished.

Ladner Custom Millwork was glad to have been able to help these home owners out with updating there stairs to fit their style. We are ready to tackle the next one!

Forgot that the homeowner of the Thornton, Colorado project created a couple time laps videos of the demo and reinstallation of the rough stairs.

I will say that the stair did come apart very fast, as there was minimal fasteners, and NO glue used. staples were used and they had mostly come loose. The upper section was only held together by a few screws that someone had installed decades ago. This stair was a squeaky monster, and there was no sneaking down these stairs.

The rough stair took some time to get in place, the home built in the 1970's had settled and caused some of the structure to become out of square. The few stair was built by using full length LVL stringers, 3/4 plywood treads and risers, and all the pieces were put in place by using a good beads of clue on all possible contact points. Everything was nailed together with ring shank nails, and 2 inch screws.

Do it right, or don't do it. How this stair was built and assembled is how all stairs that Ladner Custom Millwork builds are done. We pride ourselves on providing stairs that do not squeak, and are built right.
